US President Donald Trump responded on Sunday with a question from a journalist about a drug to Anthony Fauci, Trump’s medical advisor.
Trump has already promoted the use of the drug hydroxychloroquine, an anti-malarial drug, several times in the fight against the new coronavirus.
According to him, some studies suggest that the drug would help against COVID-19, but medical experts have not yet found conclusive evidence about it.
Dr Anthony Fauci was not allowed to answer the President’s question from the journalist. Fauci said there is “no conclusive information available to comment.”
Fauci, the American Marc Van Ranst, assists Trump during the corona crisis in the United States. But he and his team have to live with a president who continually contradicts or minimizes what they advise.
