China accuses the US of flying a spy plane over a Chinese military exercise when it shouldn’t.
It is a U2 aircraft that flew over one of the five training areas of the Chinese army in northeast China on Tuesday.
According to Beijing, the aircraft flew at a great height in a place where this is not allowed, while the Chinese army was practising sharply.
“The violation seriously affected China’s normal drills and training courses and violated air and maritime security rules between China and the US as well as important international practices,” said the Chinese military spokesman.
The US Air Force recognizes the flight but has stated that no rules had been broken.
