Study: Corona Infection can Significantly Increase the Risk of Pulmonary Embolism

The United States Has Registered 743 New Deaths From the Coronavirus

The United States has registered 743 new deaths from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours.

That brings the total to 105,099 since the onset of the global pandemic, according to figures from Johns Hopkins University.

The country has confirmed 1,809,109 infection cases of the virus. The death toll and the number of infections in the United States are by far the highest in the world.

The virus has killed 373,439 people worldwide since it appeared in China in late 2019.

In the United States, states have begun to relax restrictive measures to slow the spread of the virus.

But several major U.S. cities have now issued curfews for violent protests following the death in Minneapolis of a black man of police brutality.

The unarmed George Floyd was killed last week when a white police officer knelt on his neck for nine minutes.
