Madrid regional leader Isabel Díaz Ayuso has tightened up measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
For example, face masks are now mandatory everywhere and at all times and no more than ten people may meet at once, including in houses.
With the measures, Madrid wants to prevent the number of corona infections from rising again.
To prevent this, Ayuso has also announced that contamination cases will be better identified to detect people who have been in contact with infected persons as soon as possible.
She has also reduced the capacity of terraces, regional media report.
Ayuso calls on the national government to take stricter measures at airports.
