Hurricane Isaias made landfall again in the United States, this time in the state of North Carolina. Previously, the hurricane was already home to the state of Florida and the Bahamas.

The hurricane is expected to move further north in the eastern United States.

The United States’ National Hurricane Center (NHC) has measured winds of up to 140 kilometres per hour.

US President Donald Trump has already declared a state of emergency for North Carolina in connection with the upcoming Category 1 hurricane. The Governor of New Jersey has also announced a state of emergency in his state.

On Saturday, Isaias crossed the Bahamas, and the NHC scaled the hurricane to a tropical storm.

On Thursday, the storm caused damage in Puerto Rico, where trees were blown down, power lines were knocked down, and homes were flooded. A 56-year-old woman on the island was killed when the car she was in was dragged into the water.

In the Dominican Republic, two people died from severe weather. Isaias was scaled up to a hurricane again on Monday morning.
