British Pinewood Studio Wants to Expand for £800 Million

The British Pinewood Studios, the place where Star Wars, Marvel, and James Bond films are filmed, wants to expand.

According to the American trade magazine Variety, the studio has submitted an expansion plan with a price tag of 800 million pounds.

As part of the expansion, twenty new studios will be built in an area of 82 hectares south of the existing studios. According to Variety, studios and offices will also be added to this.

A dedicated training centre managed by the National Film and Television School is also to be established. The plans should create 8,000 new jobs.

The Pinewood Studios, west of London, is one of the most important in Britain. TV series such as Teletubbies and Bob the Builder have also been made.
