Brexit Deal Refers to Netscape and Other Outdated Technology

Barnier to London for New Brexit Talks

Negotiations on a trade agreement between the European Union and the United Kingdom will resume this weekend in London.

EU chief negotiator Michel Barnier and his team members travel to the British capital on Friday evening, the Frenchman tweeted. “The same significant disputes persist.”

Barnier and his closest Brexit employees are out of the quarantine where they had to go under Belgian rules after one of the team members was found to have the coronavirus among the members last week.

The negotiations were then continued via video. Time is running out, and face-to-face talks are considered essential for success. In London, Barnier will meet his British counterpart David Frost and his team.

The three main themes on which no agreement has yet been reached are fisheries, competition rules and the supervision of the arrangements.
