In Germany, a further 1,499 people have been diagnosed with the new coronavirus in the past twenty-four hours.
That reports the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the German equivalent of the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM).
This again represents an increase compared to the previous days in the weekend.
On weekends, a lower number of infections is invariably passed on in Germany, possibly due to a delay. On Monday, 814 new cases were reported and on Sunday 988.
Last Saturday there were 1378 and on Friday 1430. In total, the deadly lung virus was diagnosed in 252,298 people in Germany.
The RKI reports that four more people have died from Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. That brings the total death toll in Germany to 9,329.
